About Me.
I grew up in South Monterey County and always knew I wanted to grow up to be someone who could help others. My passion for social work started when I was a student at Santa Clara University and had the opportunity to Study abroad in El Salvador, Central America. There, I had the opportunity learn about the power of community support and storytelling. This experience inspired me to return to my own community and offer my support as a social worker.
I graduated from California State University, Monterey Bay and have years of experience in working in community mental health. I am a certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapist and have extensive training in Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Seeking Safety. I use a trauma-informed approach to support clients from all walks of life including clients who have a history of childhood trauma, addiction, abuse, and intimate partner violence.
I am a client centered therapist, meaning that treatment is focused on your needs and your goals. I am simply a guide that can support you in finding a way to navigate the world around you. I am passionate about working with adults who may be struggling with current life challenges, issues with work, relationships, and more!
